The recent ban have caused widespread anger among public as Kerala is ts the one of the few states where cow slaughter is not banned.
BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan tweeted the video of the slaughter, saying it was the "peak of cruelty" .
Youth congress has defending its move by saying that govt is making people unemployed and that is the biggest cruelty.
"The centre is denying food to the people, it is the biggest cruelty," Youth Congress leader Rejil Makutty said.
The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the Centre couldn't draw up a menu and change the food habits of people.
According to reports, 500,000 people in Kerala are directly or indirectly involved in cattle trade, slaughterhouses and allied areas. Adding such decision in Kerala would leave many people jobless.
"Today it is saying you can't eat beef, tomorrow it can say no to fish also. We will not allow this to happen in our state as adding such decision would leave many people jobless, " Kerala's Chief Minister said.
