Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has decided to launch a separate Jammu movement from April 1 .
" Carving out a seperate Jammu state is an only solution to end the 70 years long discrimenation with Dogras of Jammu" ; said State president Balawant Singh Mankotia.
"JKNPP has decided to launch a mass movement for statehood for Jammu from April 1 at Block level in the Entire Jammu province" ; He further said.
He alleged that both Center and State govt's are discriminating with Jammu province since independence.
"Jammu is not getting enough opportunities, schemes and funds as Kashmir is getting.
For decades People of Kashmir are chanting anti National slogans but still they are being provided with better opportunities, schemes and funds as compare to Jammu province, with this discrimination Jammu is lagging behind in race and youths are suffering from unemployment" ; said Mankotia with bold voice.
Mankotia alleged that the latest example of discrimination can be seen in recent scheme launched by central Government in which government increased the number of seats in the post-graduate courses in Medical Colleges in the state to 70.
“But the Medical College in Jammu got just 13 seats while 57 others went to Kashmir Valley. This corroborate the fact that people of Jammu were facing discrimination even during the BJP rule at the Centre and in the state,” he said.
