Alleging that many students were deliberately singled out by examination evaluators, the students of Govt Degree College (GDC) Kilothtran who failed to qualify Ist semester examination today held a strong protest against Jammu University (JU) authorities and demanded re-evaluation of their answer scripts.
Raising slogans against that university authorities, the protesting students were demanding re-evaluation of their answer scripts.
"All of the students have done well, they claimed." We were expecting good marks but shockingly we have been failed or given less marks which seem fishy and a deliberate attempt of University authorities," one of the protesting students alleged.Protesting students were demanding early intervention of College and Jammu University (JU) authorities so as to get re-evaluation of their answer scripts at an earliest.They also demands were
postponed the exam of IV semester which is scheduled on 2 May. As due to Harsh Climatic conditions and heavy snowfall in Chenab Valley Region the colleges were unable to conduct the classes in the month of February.
While speaking to the Media persons AISF Tehsil President Comrade Nasir Rather said, "From GDC Kilhotran 327 Students appeared for Ist semester examination but Only 19 Students are passed". He alleged that Jammu University is a hub of corruption. University fails the Students for Re-Evaluation fee as it is the simplest and legal way to cut the pocket of poor Students.SDPO Gandoh Sunny Gupta reached on the spot and assured the Students to Solve their issues as soon as possible.
AISF State President comrade Pankaj Sharma showed his deep concern over the Poor result of Jammu University. He said that Students are protesting all over the State for such a shocking result.
