District administration Anatnag rebuts rumors of desecration of religious place
Srinagar: Taking cognizance of recent posts and pictures uploaded on some social networking sites by some “mischievous elements” regarding the desecration of a religious place in Mattan are of district Anatnag, a team of officers, headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag visited the religious place to ascertain the facts, official spokesperson said in a statement.
After investigations and examination of the complex, all the properties were found intact, the statement added. The main door to the premises was locked and keys handed over to the community members living in the area.
The District Administration has appealed all sections of the society not to pay any heed to such rumors aimed at creating trouble.
