Kashmir:Born on February 11, 2002 , Faizan along with Burhan Wani's successor Sabzar Bhat was killed in an encounter with forces in Tral area of Kashmir on Saturday.
15-year-old Faizan was the youngest militant in Valley. Faizan joined Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) in march 2017.
According to reports, on march 4 this year when clashes between people and security forces occurred in Tral village, 15-year-old Faizan also joined people in stone pelting. In a meanwhile, service rifle of one of the CRPF man fell on the ground and as he struggled to pick it up, Faizan got hold of it and ran way with it. Next day his parents came to know that their teenage son has joined Militant ranks.
Faizan, a student of a local private school MTI, was studying in 10th class. According to his friends, he was a brilliant student.
Faizan was best among our group, he always topped in class and aspired to be a Doctor ' they said.
"He never discussed about wishing to take up arms, we couldn't believe that he was killed in a gun battle even after seeing picture of his body," said one of his friend Murawat Hussain.
Faizan’s end symbolises the tragedy of Kashmir where there is little hope among people for an early solution to the decades old political conflict.
