Police-Public meeting in village Gundi-Gagra
Ramban:- SDPO Gool Mohd Ameen Bhat on the directions of SSP Ramban Mohan Lal held a Police Public meeting at Gundi Gagra to strengthen the Police-Public relations and also interacted with students of High School Gagra. Large no. of respectable and emminent persons participated in the meeting and highlighted various issues. The issues raised by people were:-
1:- The Jamman-Gagra road work not started yet beyond Hara,
2:- Some villages are still without electricity,
3:- Inadequte teaching staff, desks/mats not available for sitting arrangements in the High School Gagra,
4:- Health Sub-Centre sanctioned at Gagra but construction work not started yet. Moreover no govt supply of medicines in area,
5:-MGNREGA Scheme not regular and earlier payments are also lying pending,
6:- Payments are not made with respect to toilets constructed in the area as per centrally sponsored Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan Scheme (Rs12000 for rural toilets and sanitation),
7:- CAPD :-Sugar from last 03 months and ration from last 02 months not distributed,
8:- For every Aadhar Card Rs 200 was charged by Aadhar card team Gool,
9:- No official from sheep husbandry have ever visited the area,
10:- Pensions to the old age and physically challenged persons are not being paid.
During interaction with students, he emphasised on the role of better education and appreciated the hard work done by students. Latter in evening SDPO Gool visited the house of Zaheer Abbas Pachu who recently died after falling from hillock and hold a meeting at Bajambri where people expressed dissatisfaction with the work done by rural development department as no footpaths are made under MGNREGA.
After a hearing the issues of common masses SDPO assured participants every kind of help and issues which are required to be taken up with the higher ups and other concerned authorities will be taken up on merits for immediate redressal. General public appreciated the role of Police for proactive approach in redressal of grievances of Public and assured full support in eradication of crime and maintaining peace in area .
