Kishtwar September 26: A renowned social worker and a businessman from Chatroo area of Inderwal Constituency in Kishtwar District today joined National Conference at Kishtwar in presence of Party Provincial President and MLA from Nagrota Davinder Singh Rana and Former MoS Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, beside several other senior party leaders including District President National Conference Kishtwar Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo, District President Doda Khalid Najeeb Shurawardhy , Ramban President Sajjad Shaheen, former MLA Chaman Lal, former Higher Education Minister Abdul Gani Malik, former MLA Inderwal Qazi Jalal Din, Imtiyaz Ahmed Zarger, Rajinder Sen, Indeerjeet Sen, Farooq Ahmed Dev, Shabir Ahmed Kamal and others were also present on this occasion.
Among the prominent who joined the National Conference today at Kishtwar include Jaffar Hussain Wani, a renowned social worker and businessman from Kishtwar who is considered as a close aide of senior BJP leader Tariq Hussain who unsuccessfully contested the 2014 Assembly election on BJP ticket from Inderwal Kishtwar.
Wani along with hundreds of supporters arrived at NC Office Kishtwar and formally joined the party in presence of senior party leaders.
While speaking on this occasion, Jaffer Wani said that it is like Ghar Wapsi for him as his forefathers including his grandfather had remained a staunch worker of National Conference. He said that he was impressed with pro people polices of NC as a result of which he decided to join the party so that he could continue pro people and social work in his area which is considered as one of the most backward and neglected area of the state. He assured the party leaders that he will work with zeal and zest for the betterment of downtrodden and will work towards strengthening the party at grass root level so that NC will emerge as a successful party in the Inderwal constituency which was once considered as the party’s strong bastion.
While welcoming the newly joined persons in the party, senior party leaders assured full cooperation to the newly joined people and hope that they will promote the party polices by reaching out to the people at their door step and will listen to their problems and brings solution to the same so that the people could not have to suffer under present PDP-BJP regime which according to them fails to address the public issues.
Among the prominent who joined the party today include Advocate Mohammad Iqbal, Retired Subedar from Palmar Sham Lal and Ex Serviceman Dewan Chand.
