In the month of October, she applied for a job in the Orphanage for Girls in Kotla Mubarakpur. Management of the orphanage asked her to write an online test and send her photos.
However, organization rejected her job application because she wears Hijab.
In a mail, Harish Varma, President and CEO of the orphanage wrote that the institution is “religion-free”. He further mentioned that she looks like a Muslim even from a distance of 1 km.
Reacting to it, Zoya replied that wearing Hijab is a priority for her.
Later on Tuesday, Mr. Varma wrote, “I was shocked to know that conservative Islam is your priority not humanity!”. He also wrote, “Your higher education gone in drain!”.
He further informed that he recruited another Muslim girl who has modern thoughts with religion free mindset.
