On saturday night a group of robbers allegedly stole 84 kg of Jewellery worth 2.5 crore and Rs 5 lakh in cash at Gadoli kurd village in sector 10 in Gurgaon.
The incident took place on Saturday night when the members of former head man of village Gadoli Kurd were sleeping, a senior police officer said.
"The robbery was captured on a CCTV camera installed in storeroom in Head man's house .The robbers were wearing mask and its difficult to identify them. We have registered a case of robbery against the six persons. As per the statement of family members ,84kg of Gold and Rs 5 lakh of cash has been stolen by the robbers," the official said.
" We were sleeping when the robbers entered into house and locked our rooms from outside. They searched for costly items for over an hour in the storeroom. They then decamped with Gold ornaments worth Rs.2.5 crore and Rs. 5 lakh cash," Harish son of Head man said.
Family members claimed that some labourers who had carried out some repair work a couole of months ago at the house may have been involved in the robbery.
